T-300 Process Summary

The operator places a stack of trays onto the input module. Upon receipt of a “start” signal from the user, a tray is automatically removed from the bottom of the stack and fed onto an indexer carriage where it is clamped in place in x, y and z axis. The carriage then advances to an initial pre-programmed position and the system signals the user to begin processing, i.e. marking, inspecting, etc.

When a row, or group of rows, is finished processing, the user signals the handler and the carriage indexes to the next pre-programmed position. A precision ball screw assembly, coupled to a micro-stepper with internal encoder, is used to index the carriage/tray.

Indexing parameters for up to 16 tray matrix configurations can be stored in the T-300 for easy call up, or change, by the user When the tray is finished processing, it is automatically transferred from the carriage to the output module, where it is stacked. As the tray is being stacked, the carriage returns to the input end to receive the next tray, and the process repeats.

T-300 FEATURES

  • Handles thick and thin trays w/o changeover.
  • Automatic sensing of tray presence/absence in stack.
  • Smooth start/stop motion via micro-stepper prevents component shift or upset in tray.
  • Tray staging at input eliminates process wait time.
  • Low stack sensing at input and full stack sensing at output, with operator alerts.
  • Auto-check routine at start of each production run.
  • Internal controller monitors the system and alerts the operator if a fault condition is detected.
  • Trays are clamped on indexing carriage in x, y and z.
  • On-board controller directs all motions and interfaces with the user's PC/PLC via simple signal exchange. No special user software is required for integration.
  • Indexer stores up to 16 tray matrix configurations for easy user call-up.
  • Top side loading and un-loading provides easy access so trays may be added or removed at any time without process interruption.
  • Diagnostics mode allows manual checking of all sensors and actuators for proper operation.
  • Solid design details and rugged construction assure reliable performance and long operating life.
